La’Cuana Sherman Dew, has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, and a Doctorate degree in Psychology. La’Cuana is the owner and operator of Sherman Support and Solutions, LLC. She is certified as an Anger Management Specialist, Master Addiction Counselor, & Grief Counselor. She has worked with children, teens, & adults with mental health, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases since 1996. Past and current clients include individuals with a history of anger, violence, abuse, abandonment, attachment, depression, anxiety, stress, loss, and Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) cases. La’Cuana currently provides therapy to children, teens, and adults.  Sessions include: individual counseling, couples counseling, pre-marital counseling, family counseling, and group counseling. 

La’Cuana does Assessments & evaluations to include, but not limited to: parental fitness, substance abuse, domestic violence (victim & perpetrator), anger assessments, mental health assessments, Home Evaluations. In addition to counseling, La’Cuana is a professional life coach. Online Coaching is available and preferred. She helps clients work through hurdles by assisting with Defining goals, helping clients formulate a plan using their skills, Holding the clients accountable for progress, Providing structure, encouragement and support.  

La’Cuana’s primary theoretical orientations for counseling and coaching are Person Center/Client Center approach, Solution Focus, Cognitive Behavior and Adlerian, but uses a variety of theoretical techniques depending on the individual’s and family’s needs.
